The Federal Supply Service has awarded Andrew Browning Group, LLC (ABG) a five year GSA Schedule contract under the "Packaged Environments" program. The actual Schedule number is Group 71, Part II, Section K, SIN 712-5.

ABG's contract enables government buyers to purchase "services and materials to create complete office/facilities solutions" on a turnkey basis. The GSA's definition of this unique Schedule includes "interior renovations, alterations, refurbishment and/or modernization including interior construction; electrical services; plumbing services; HVAC; data and telecommunications cabling."

The GSA recently expanded the scope of this Schedule so that buyers can also purchase furniture, office equipment and furnishings from Packaged Environment Schedule holders like ABG, as long as those products are already on an existing multiple award schedule.

This Schedule greatly simplifies the traditional process used to renovate existing spaces or build new ones. With one simple effort, a GSA Schedule buyer can hire a Packaged Environment contract holder to fit-out a space, and completely furnish it too. The potential savings in procurement time alone can be counted in months.

Orders placed using the Packaged Environment Schedule can be written to incorporate the work described in other Comprehensive Furniture Management Services (CFMS) Schedules as well, such as Project Management (SIN 712-1), Assets Management (SIN712-2), Reconfiguration/Relocations Management (712-3), Furniture Design/Layout (712-4) and Assets Maintenance (712-6).
